When purchasing your experience with us, you enter a relationship with our company by becoming a valued customer for us to respect and care for. The same way you expect us to treat you well, keep you safe, and provide a good experience is what we expect of you, too!
Here are some expectations we have of you:
- We have NO problem with anyone needing to reschedule, please just let us know as soon as possible. You can contact us however you prefer in order to let us know you will be late, your number of riders has changed, you need to reschedule, or if you need to cancel. If you cancel on your own terms, we will hold your prepaid credit for you to use at a later date, if you aren't sure when you'd like to schedule it yet. We do not provide refunds unless the ride was cancelled due to an issue on our end. Please see the refund policy listed at the bottom of this page for further details.
- Please drive respectfully through the campground. You will travel down a long gravel road (15mph) before entering the campground (5mph). We understand you want to arrive on time and are in a hurry to share this awesome experience with us, but please understand we have several residents that came to this campground to retire and relax. We do not allow speeding, disruptive driving, or extremely loud music. We want all children, dogs, horses, and anyone else walking along the roads to feel safe and respected and we will cancel your ride without refund if you put anyone in danger by ignoring the common courtesy of respect towards pedestrians where they live. If you plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early, you will not need to speed, can complete all waivers without rushing, can use the bathroom beforehand and hang out with the horses.
- Dress accordingly: Wear closed toed shoes, proper under garments, and comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or wet. We do not require helmets, but you may bring your own with you or utilize one of ours if you'd like! If you wear shorts, your inner thighs will likely rub on the saddle so please consider wearing shorts that go to your knees so you can be comfortable and focus on enjoying the ride!
- Prepare for the weather: Since we do not cancel for weather conditions (unless extreme winds, lightning, or tornado warnings), we expect that you will dress accordingly. If it is raining, wear a rain jacket. If it is cold, wear layers and gloves. If it is hot, please dress appropriately because children will be present and you should not dress too revealing. Plan for a hat or sunglasses if they have a string that can secure them to you, otherwise, understand you may have the risk of dropping them along the trail or in the water. Understand the risk of dropping any items you bring along the way such as keys, wallets, glasses, hats, vapes, phones, etc. Each saddle has a storage pouch for you to place your items in, so if you can avoid it falling from your pocket, please do so!
- Our riding terms and conditions are explicitly listed in the riding waivers you MUST sign before mounting any of our horses. All equine services are considered at your own risk per the defining NC chapter 99-e which we explain in our waiver. We also have an optional photo release form so we can have your permission to take awesome photos and videos of you and your group to post to our social media pages!
