Jeszi (ft. Albert, RIP)

Retired Barn Manager

Current Business, Marketing, and Customer Relations Manager

~

Although born in Germany in '94, Jeszi has lived in NC since moving to the USA where she spent her early college life focusing on psychology and competition drum line. She joined the Marine Corps with her brother in 2016, landing her in Jacksonville, and began volunteering with horses in the beginning of 2019 before she got stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After completing her service in the USMC, she was honorably discharged in 2021 and returned to her newly purchased home. She continued volunteering, founded a non-profit rabbit rescue in 2022, assists others with meal prep recipes and ideas, and is now a multi-state award winning taxidermist and owns her own business! Jeszi is tri-lingual, very family oriented, and enjoys spending her free time riding her motorcycle and joy-riding in the Rx7 she imported from Japan. She has an endless passion for animals to include her horse, 4 dogs, 6 cats, 5 goats, 4 snakes, 3 lizards, rabbits, ducks, and chickens. So if you need some fresh farm eggs, we know an egg dealer!
~

Jeszi was hired at the start of this company in January, 2024 to help Peggy run the business. She started as the main trail guide and already knew the trails because the previous trail riding company she worked for since 2019 used to pay the campground to use our trails. She created our Facebook, Instagram, website, business cards and waivers before training a full staff of trail guides, volunteers, and hiring photographers. Once everything could run smoothly with the newly established staff and without her presence required on a regular basis, she stepped down as barn manager and transitioned to running everything digitally for us! This includes posting on our social media, all marketing and advertisements, customer scheduling and communication via all platforms, new contracts and/or waivers, interviewing new staff members, submitting us for events and festivals, and assisting with staff meetings and management. She is our fill-in trail guide when we are short handed and she currently boards Leo with us!

Hannah

Trail Guide & Lesson Instructor

Born in Grand Haven, Michigan in 2004, Hannah moved to Jacksonville, North Carolina during New Year's weekend of 2022-2023. She joined the United States Marine Corps in August of 2023 and currently still serves as an active duty Marine Air Traffic Controller. Outside of work, Hannah's world revolves around animals and the outdoors. She spends most of her free time riding her horses Lilith and Rebel, and caring for her growing family of animals which includes reptiles, rats, and rabbits. Raised around horses her entire life, Hannah was introduced to the equestrian lifestyle by her grandmother, who owned Thoroughbreds for many years. She began riding as soon as she could walk and formally started English riding lessons around the age of nine. Although financial limitations paused her training for a time, her love for horses never faded, eventually leading her back to the saddle and discovering her passion for western riding.

~

Hannah began volunteering with our team in September of 2024 and officially became a trail guide in December of 2024. She plays a hands-on role in barn operations, assisting with stall mucking, cleaning and refilling water buckets across multiple pastures, sweeping the barn and tack room, feeding when needed and maintaining the barn and quality of life for our horses. She also helps prepare horses for rides by grooming and saddling, riding with confidence alongside customers on the trails, assisting with children's lessons, and ensures both horses and guests are safe and comfortable during their experience. With a lifelong foundation in horsemanship and a strong work ethic shaped by both her upbringing and military service, Hannah brings dedication, reliability, and genuine care to everything she does here at County Line!

Alexsis (Prefers "Lexi")

Daily Feeder & Morning Trail Guide

Born in Fremont, Michigan in 2003, Lexi joined the United States Marine Corps in January of 2022 and was stationed in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where she moved into her new home during New Year’s weekend of 2022–2023. She has served as a Logistics Specialist and has recently completed her contract with the USMC. Before her military career, Lexi was dual enrolled in college during her junior and senior years of high school, studying Criminal Justice. In addition to her professional pursuits, she is a published author and finds fulfillment through creative and mindful outlets such as reading, writing, gardening, meditation, and spending time immersed in nature. Lexi enjoys riding her horse, Lilith, working with the other horses at the barn, and caring for her animals at home, which include a dog, rabbit, and flock of chickens. She knows lives in a beautiful camper at our campground and we get to see her every single day!

Lexi began volunteering with our team in May of 2024 and stepped into the role of backup trail guide in December of 2024. She assists with daily barn operations including mucking stalls, cleaning and refilling water buckets across multiple pastures, sweeping the barn and tack room, and helping with feeding when needed. Lexi also helps prepare horses for rides by grooming and saddling, rides with customers on the trails, and assists during birthday parties, festivals, and special events. Her calm presence, strong work ethic, and willingness to support both horses and guests wherever needed make her a valued and dependable part of our team. She has been kind enough to become our daily feeder now that she lives here with us, lightening the load for several of our trail guides when they first arrive for their day of scheduled rides. She also takes on any morning rides that pop up last minute, or that our other trail rides are unable to do. We rely heavily on her for daily help and she provides that and THEN some!

Daniela

Trail Guide & Horse Trainer

Born in Houston, Texas in 2002, Daniela was raised around horses her entire life, making horsemanship not just a hobby but a way of life. Her family practices a traditional form of Mexican dressage known as Caballos de Alta Escuela, and she grew up learning the fundamentals of training, handling, and starting horses alongside her father. Recently relocated to North Carolina due to her husband’s service in the United States Marine Corps, Daniela brings with her a deep-rooted equestrian background and a strong work ethic shaped by years of hands-on experience. Outside of the barn, she enjoys staying active by going to the gym, hiking with her husband and their two Dobermans, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Daniela joined our team mid November 2025. When not at home being a new mom, she focuses on working with horses that need additional training or fine-tuning, applying the skills she developed through years of experience starting and schooling horses, and leading trail rides. Her confidence, patience, and natural feel for horses allow her to make meaningful progress with each one she works with. Daniela’s passion for horsemanship, experience, and dedication to the horses are exactly what we love about her!

Kaelyn

Weekend Trail Guide

Born in Minnesota in 2006, Kaelyn relocated to North Carolina in 2025 after being stationed at MCAS New River following her enlistment in the United States Marine Corps in July of 2024. She currently serves as a Marine Air Traffic Controller and balances the demands of military life with her growing passion for horsemanship. Although she did not grow up around horses, Kaelyn has always been fascinated by them and dreamed of being involved in the equestrian world. Outside of the barn, she enjoys reading, running, and spending as much time riding as possible. She is currently preparing to purchase a horse of her own and is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and experience within the horse community.

Kaelyn began volunteering with our team in December of 2025 and quickly immersed herself in learning every aspect of barn life alongside Hannah and Kianna, who helped teach her foundational horse care, daily chores, tacking, and riding skills. Through hard work, consistency, and dedication, she officially became a trail guide in May of 2026. Her role now includes leading trail rides, assisting with horse care and barn responsibilities, and continuing to grow her horsemanship abilities every day. Kaelyn’s eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and genuine love for the horses make her a wonderful addition to the team

Kianna

Trail Guide & Lesson Instructor

Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina in 2002, Kianna is a Jacksonville native thanks to her father’s service in the United States Marine Corps. Horses have been a central part of her life for as long as she can remember, and much of her time growing up was spent training and working with them both in and out of school. Her passion for horsemanship eventually expanded into colt starting and horse restarts, where she enjoys helping horses build confidence, consistency, and trust under saddle. Outside of the barn, Kianna enjoys riding motorcycles and is currently learning how to perform bike stunts on her R7, though mounted archery on horseback remains one of her favorite skills and interests. She also enjoys caring for her own animals, which include several horses, two dogs, and two bearded dragons.

Kianna joined our team as a trail guide in March of 2026 and quickly became a valuable part of daily operations at County Line. Her role includes leading trail rides, teaching lessons, and assisting with starting and working young horses. With years of hands-on horse experience and a natural confidence in the saddle, Kianna brings both knowledge and enthusiasm to every aspect of her work. Her dedication to horsemanship, willingness to keep learning, and passion for helping horses progress make her a wonderful addition to our team.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Emma—better known as Red—now calls Wilmington home. She began riding horses at the age of ten and spent several years competing in barrel racing before taking a long break from the equestrian world. Outside of the barn, Red is a video gaming enthusiast who enjoys streaming live on Twitch, and blending creativity, community, and connection into her everyday life. Professionally, she works in the IT department as her current career! Whether online or outdoors, she values shared experiences and meaningful interactions. Red is also a proud dog mom to two pit bulls and looks forward to one day owning a horse of her own, continuing her lifelong connection to animals. Red found her way back into the horse world through guided trail rides with us, where she immediately felt at home.

She began volunteering with our team in November of 2025 and embraces every opportunity to learn, grow, and spend time with the animals she loves. Her enthusiasm, curiosity, and positive energy make her a wonderful addition to our volunteer team and a joy to have around the barn!
